Yellowstone Public Radio maintains a list of upcoming
events in our broadcast communities. If you would like to include an event
on these pages and broadcast as a public service
announcement, send an e-mail

Events must be cultural or educational (exhibits, theater
productions, concerts, lectures, films, etc.) and open to the public;
fundraisers are not acceptable. Please include name pronunciations along
with event title and explanation, date, time, place, short biographical
information, presenting organziation, and contact phone number and email
address.

Calls for Competition Entries and Grant Submissions
Sweet Pea Poster Competition
Entry deadline is May 8 for posters to promote this summer's Sweet Pea
Festival. Entry forms are available at Bozeman businesses, including the
Art Shoppe, MSU Strand Union, Rocky Mountain Roasting Co., Baker Street
in the Gallatin Valley Mall.
WY State Historical Society Project Grants
WSHS offers cash grants for projects related to the state's history, 100-1500
dollars. Apply to the Society's Lola Homsher Endowment Fund Committee

BBHC Art Mentorship Program honoring Lloyd New
Buffalo Bill HIstorical Center Plains Indian Museum honors memory of Cherokee
artist Lloyd New with grants for five aspiring Nataive American artists
to study this summer with Oglala Lakota artist Roger Broer. Applications

Yellowstone Historic Preservation Awards
Two awards to recognize individuals, organizations or projects for the
dedication in preserving the history of Yellowstone County. Eugene T.

High Plains Book Awards
Parmly Billings Library is accepting nominations for the 2nd annual Awards
for best fiction, non-fiction, first book & emeritus award. Winners
will be awarded at the October 2008 High Plains BookFest in Billings.

Helena Symphony Chorale Seeks Singers
Patrick Patton directs the 100-voice chorus who will perform symphonic
masterworks in concerts throughout the year, including Handl's Messiah

Equinox Theater's One-Act Festival in Bozeman
Submit one-act play scripts to the 4th annual Equinox One-Act Festival

Western Folklife Center's Song Contest
Submit new songs--inspired by the spirit of the greater Yellowstone area--on
any subject & in any musical genre, language, musical tradition. Prizes

2008 Race to the Sky Art Competition

Bozeman Public Library Exhibitions
