Grant Awarded To Nursing Home Keeps Dozens of Jobs In Montana

The Montana Department of Commerce announced on Tuesday they awarded a $400,000 grant to Garfield County Health Center in Jordan, Montana.

Jennifer Olson is the Community Development Administrator for the Department of Commerce. She says the funding supports the retention of 30 jobs along with infrastructure renovation and upgrades.

"It's a fantastic combination of economic development—jobs being retained—as well as providing those critical services to those that are in the most need, that are being served at the nursing home," said Olson.

The block grant is a contribution from the state toward the Garfield County Health Center's overall $1.2 million-dollar renovation of it's facilities, which boast a nursing home, emergency room, and clinic.
