Mattis Calls Out Clearing Protesters Outside White House 'Abuse Of Executive Authority'
Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis has called the decision to clear peaceful protesters from outside the White House this week an “abuse of executive authority.”
Mattis, a Marine general who resigned as secretary of defense in December 2018, criticized his former boss in a statement to The Atlantic Wednesday.
