The Trauma-Informed Mindfulness 200-level training is a 3.5 hour workshop (with breaks and team events). Trauma-informed Mindfulness is an important concept for all people working in any number of situations with individuals in crisis. The Trauma-informed portion of this course explains adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and provides evidence-based skills on how to identify a traumatized individual and how to be mindful of your behaviors that may unknowingly invoke triggers. This course also trains participants how to speak to an individual in crisis, convince them to look for alternatives, and make a cursory assessment in order to route them to the appropriate help. Finally, the workshop provides real situations and scenarios, enabling participants to practice applying intervention techniques.
