This online workshop with Tempel Smith will explore the elements of practice that bring balance and clarity to difficult emotion. By recognizing the qualities of mind states, dropping our resistance and exploring them with kind attention, we can learn to wisely navigate difficult mind states. They can even become doorways to insight and self-compassion. Appropriate for both experienced meditators and newcomers to practice. Tempel Smith began practicing vipassana and metta meditation in 1989 within the Theravada Buddhist tradition at Insight Meditation Society (IMS). Since 2001 Tempel has begun to teach meditation and Buddhist psychology to a wide variety of people including prisoners, activists, youth, service providers, and those with severe and chronic illnesses.
