Resounds: Clyde Butcher, Niki Butcher

courtesy Clyde and Niki Butcher

A passionate conservationist and photographer, Clyde Butcher has dedicated five decades to exploring, recording, and sharing the beauty of America’s most treasured landscapes. Butcher often spends his days slogging through the Big Cypress National Preserve behind his Florida studio, lugging an enormous camera and tripod. He also guides other photographers and nature lovers, sharing his knowledge of the orchids, rare ferns, native birds, and swamp creatures that make up the Everglades’ unique and fragile ecosystem.

The photo exhibition America the Beautiful: Clyde Butcher features 31 large-format silver gelatin photographs of America’s National Parks, including striking views of Yellowstone, Glacier, and the Florida Everglades. The exhibition will run through October 13, 2019, at the Yellowstone Art Museum.
