Why are you running for this particular public office?

The current world climate requires a new and forward thinking way of handling problems. We simply can not go on the same old way. It's time to get back to the future.

What makes you qualified to hold this position?

I have been practicing law in Montana for ~25 years, graduate of the University of Montana. Previously ~8 years in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff, Montana State investigator and Helena City police officer. I have been a member of two labor unions and I am staunchly pro union.

What are three policy issues that distinguish you from your opponent(s)?

1. I am for instituting the Grand Jury system in Montana as called for by the U. S. and Montana Constitutions.

2. As a criminal law attorney I oppose the incarceration of petty – misdemeanor – offences simply to justify new jails.

3. I am for any bills or initiatives that support practical renewable energy.

4. I support any bills or initiatives that support the individual rights of Montana Citizens.

What are the greatest issues facing Montana that have gone unsolved by elected officials and how would you address them?

Beside the Corona Virus, there is wide spread low employment, waste of natural resources, and a large and growing population living below the poverty level especially among the indigenous peoples. Additionally the State government is increasingly encroaching on individual rights both constitutional and civil. The office of the Montana Attorney General is in a unique position to act as a watch-dog; safeguarding the rights of Montanans and the resources of Montana.
