Urban and rural hospitals in Montana are facing a severe financial crunch as they prepare for an uptick in patients with the COVID-19 illness. The economic stimulus plan approved by the U.S. Senate Wednesday night is expected to help.

Bozeman Health says that within a month, it will be able to analyze COVID-19 swabs on site. The regional health giant says this could reduce the wait time for results to less than an hour.

Bozeman’s city commissioners Monday unanimously approved the next step for a new ambulatory center in Montana’s fastest growing city. It’s an expansion of Billings Clinic, the largest health organization in the state.
