Montana’s Secretary of State is facing heat online for writing a newsletter that compares the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to U.S.-tribal relations.

The House of Representatives Wednesday will debate and vote on two articles of impeachment against President Trump; one for abuse of power and the other for obstruction of justice. Where do Montana's 2020 House candidates stand?

Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton is in Israel this week with a bipartisan delegation of top state elections officials from across the United States. Officials say the trip aims to strengthen U.S.- Israel relations.

Stapleton is among 11 state officials from the U.S. traveling in the National Association of Secretaries of State delegation.

  

A former head of the Montana Republican party is entering the 2020 race for the state’s lone seat in the U.S House. 

Debra Lamm is now the fifth Republican in the party’s primary race for the House seat, which the GOP has held for more than two decades.

Republican U.S. Sen. Steve Daines has reported raising more than $1 million over the last three months for his reelection bid in 2020.

All candidates in Montana races for the U.S. House and Senate were required to disclose their quarterly fundraising and spending Monday.

The total number of candidates running for Montana’s open U.S. House seat jumped to seven today. That’s after Simms Democrat Matt Rains and Corvallis Republican Tim Johnson announced their candidacies.

A third Republican has joined the race for Montana’s lone U.S. House seat.

Matt Rosendale is sworn in January 2, 2017 as Montana State Auditor at the state Capitol. He was joined by his wife Jean. Rosendale served as Senate Majority Leader in the 2015 Montana Legislature.

Montana Republicans' 2020 election lineup shuffled again Monday after U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte decided to run for governor instead of re-election, with State Auditor Matt Rosendale jumping into the now-open House race seven months after failing to unseat U.S. Sen. Jon Tester.
