The staff and friends of Yellowstone Public Radio celebrate the life of Brad Edwards, who passed away recently in Billings. Brad’s talent as a percussionist was heard in venues big and small across the region, and indeed, throughout the world, in a career that included tours and gigs with some of the most legendary names in jazz.

Jazz greats Clay Jenkins and Bob Bowman helped shape the sound of jazz in the 1960s and 1970s, performing with the likes of the Thad Jones Orchestra and Freddie Hubbard, among others. On November 2nd, 2017, the pair brought their distinctive sound to the MSUB campus at Cisel Recital Hall. YPR and the MSUB Department of Music recorded the concert and produced it for broadcast. The program is hosted by MSUB's Professor of Low Brass, John Roberts. Roberts and Professor of Woodwinds Scott Jeppeson also contributed music to the broadcast. The program was produced by Jackie Yamanaka and Jamie Granzella for YPR.
