After a rash of white supremacist activity in the Flathead Valley this fall, a community organization wants to create a coordinated response with the City of Kalispell and other stakeholders. The request for a new communication network is similar to one set up in Whitefish following a 2016 internet trolling campaign by white supremacists.

A young male grizzly that made his way into the national Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness near the Montana-Idaho border this year has made the trek back to the Libby area to den for the winter. The journey showed that grizzly bear movement into the unpopulated Bitterroot ecosystem is possible.

Authorities have arrested a juvenile male in connection with Monday’s unfounded bomb threat at Bigfork High School.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office announced that it arrested a juvenile male Monday for allegedly calling in a bomb threat to Bigfork High School. The suspect has been charged with intimidation.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is one step closer to purchasing the land that makes up Big Arm State Park on Flathead Lake. Officials says the deal is critical to maintaining the important public access point on the lake. 

The House Judiciary Committee is holding its first hearing in the impeachment inquiry focused on constitutional grounds for impeachment. The Judiciary Committee is tasked with drafting potential articles of impeachment against President Trump.

An unfounded bomb threat led to the evacuation of Bigfork High School Monday morning. Students returned to class about an hour and a half after school officials received the threat.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office says school officials received a short, non-detailed message around 7:30 a.m. alleging there was a bomb in Bigfork High School.
