State attorneys general are urging Congress to permanently regulate fentanyl-related compounds in an effort to aid law enforcement in curbing the opioid epidemic.

Two of the three Republican primary candidates for governor met in Helena Tuesday night for a debate focused on jobs and the economy.

Attorney General Tim Fox and State Sen. Albert Olszewski stood in an event hall at Carroll College for just under an hour making their pitch to GOP voters.

As Attorney General William Barr visited Montana to unveil his plan to address the crisis of missing people in Indian Country, a tribe across the state has declared an emergency over what they say is a lack of policing on their reservation.

The public has until midnight Monday to comment on the recently updated draft environmental impact study for the Keystone XL pipeline. Commenters include Montana’s Governor Steve Bullock.

A debate between Montana Republican gubernatorial contenders is moving forward in Helena despite the absence of one of the candidates.

Carroll College announced Thursday it will hold the first GOP primary debate in the governor’s race later this month.

The Montana Supreme Court today ruled that a Missoula ordinance that would have expanded background checks to private gun sales violates state law. The opinion overturns a lower court’s ruling, and sides with Attorney General Tim Fox's position. 

Montana hired two full-time agents to investigate human trafficking cases throughout the state. Montana has had law enforcement agents investigating human trafficking cases full-time on the local, and up and until recently, federal level. But this is the first time the state has employed full-time agents to look at human trafficking.

Montana’s Attorney General is seeking to enter a lawsuit in support of the Keystone XL Pipeline.

State Sen. and Republican gubernatorial candidate Albert Olszewski picked a running mate yesterday for his bid to win the party’s nomination in 2020. Olszewski is tapping fellow state Senator Republican Kenneth Bogner of Miles City.
