Upcoming YPR Events

YPR is committed to building community beyond our airwaves through in-person story-telling, workshops, debate, art, and more. We hope you'll join the discussion at our next event.

For questions about events, contact Maddie Alpert at maddie@ypradio.org or at 406-657-2979.

Join Yellowstone Public Radio at the Billings Public Library Tech Lab to learn how to make your very own audio story. Participants will be encouraged to work in groups or on their own to follow their curiosity, ask questions, and produce an audio story by the end of the week. Yellowstone Public Radio staff will teach participants the basics of story selection, interviewing, audio recording and editing so that they can tell a story that matters.

We are pleased to announce that we’ve added a reporter to our team. Nate Hegyi will be expanding our capacity to bring you news from the Gallatin Valley and beyond as Yellowstone Public Radio’s first-ever Bozeman-based reporter.

Yellowstone Public Radio’s long search for an outstanding General Manager is over, and we are thrilled to welcome Kurt Wilson to the station.

Kurt joins us from Michigan with 30 years of broadcasting experience, the last 15 of which were in public media. He said that “I love that the mission of public radio is to serve our local communities and to provide information and programming that makes a difference in our listeners’ lives.”
