Montana Gov. Steve Bullock is around a dozen presidential candidate hopefuls who failed to make the third Democratic Party debate.
Bullock didn’t reach the 2% mark in four polls and the 130,000 donors required to participate in the next debate, scheduled for September 12.
On Wednesday, speaking to MSNBC, Bullock criticized the Democatic National Committee debate rules.
"I do think this early on it's missing something by not having my voice," he said.
While other candidates, including former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and New York U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand have recently dropped-out of the race, Bullock continues to push campaign efforts in Iowa. Bullock is scheduled to campaign in the early-caucusing state over the Labor Day weekend.
A fourth primary debate is scheduled for October with the same qualifying rules.
