There are three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wyoming as of Mar. 16.
State health officials believe one of the two diagnoses in Sheridan County was the result of community spread. According to the Sheridan Press only one of the confirmed cases, from Fremont County, was due to traveling to an infected area in Colorado.
Gov. Mark Gordon recommended public schools and recreation centers to close for at least three weeks on Sunday, according to the Sheridan Press. Multiple school districts have closed.
The University of Wyoming is conducting the rest of the spring semester online.
The Cody Enterprise reports they’ve placed a lock down on senior centers for preventative measures and are doing screenings at Cody Regional Health. Conferences, meetings, and fundraisers have been canceled, as well.
