NPR's Dean Olsher reports that the Russian government has decided to bring the Romanoff jewels... which were being exhibited at museums throughout the United States... home to Moscow early. The Russians say that they want the jewels returned so that they can be displayed at the 850th anniversary of the founding of Moscow... but the abruptness with which the tour was cancelled has left museum officials puzzled.
