License & Governance

Yellowstone Public Radio is a public radio network consisting of 12 transmitters and 26 translators serving Montana and northern Wyoming. YPR broadcasts from the Joseph S. Sample Studios on the campus of Montana State University Billings as KEMC-FM and is also heard on KBMC-FM (Bozeman), KYPB-FM (Big Timber), KYPC-FM (Colstrip), KYPF-FM (Stanford/Lewistown), KYPH-FM (Helena), KYPX-FM (Helena Valley), KYPM-FM (Livingston), KYPR-FM (Miles City), KYPW-FM (Wolf Point), KYPZ-FM (Fort Benton), and KPRQ-FM (Sheridan, WY), as well as numerous translators within its broadcast area.
 
YPR is licensed to Montana State University Billings. MSUB is a unit of the Montana University System, which is governed by the Montana Board of Regents. The Board of Regents holds regular meetings throughout the year, and any board action involving YPR would be listed on the agenda.
