Popular conservative media like Fox News programs and The Rush Limbaugh Show have cheered on recent protests across the country against stay-at-home orders. Some more extreme media, like Alex Jones’ InfoWars, have even instigated gatherings.
The praise is part of a long line of mixed and misleading messaging from conservative media, who have claimed that the virus is not as serious as public health experts say.
