Many states have started to loosen restrictions on their economies. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has taken the most dramatic steps in reopening barber shops, gyms, and other businesses. He’s been harshly criticized for the move, even from President Trump, who has called on states to reopen.
But other governors who’ve stuck to stay-at-home orders face mounting pressure to open back up. NPR’s Kirk Siegler ( @KirkSiegler) speaks to host Robin Young about how some of the U.S. plans to reopen and why.
