Yellowstone National Park Thursday said a total of seven park service employees and nine concession workers tested positive for COVID-19 throughout September.

Half of the people infected with the virus have already recovered, according to a Yellowstone press release. It said people who tested positive were isolated and health officials followed-up with contact tracing.

A contractor tested positive in June, as did four employees in July and August. They have all recovered.

More than 3,000 surveillance tests have been conducted since the park reopened in May.

Park officials say less than one percent of the 2,000 people who work in Yellowstone have tested positive for COVID-19.
