Wyoming Relaxes Health Orders, Face Coverings Still Required

Wyoming’s governor is easing some of the health restrictions that have been in place to help the state combat the coronavirus.

Gov. Mark Gordon announced Thursday that these new orders will take effect on Monday, March 1.

The new health order lifts restrictions on barber shops, nail and hair salons, tattoo parlors and other personal care services, but customers and staff are still required to wear face coverings under a statewide order.

Indoor events that follow social distancing and face coverings will be permitted to operate at 25 percent of venue capacity or one-thousand people, and outdoor events up to 2-thousand people.

Groups of up to 10 people will now be permitted to sit together at restaurants and theaters, and starting March 1, buffets and self-service will return to restaurants.

Face masks are still required statewide.

The Wyoming health department reports as of February 25 more than 16 percent of Wyoming’s population has received at least one vaccine dose.
