The Montana state health department's latest analysis of COVID-19 spread says case numbers over the last month are showing exponential growth. The latest epidemiological review of COVID in Montana was released this week.

The Department of Public Health and Human Services issued a press release Thursday saying 89 percent of COVID-19 related hospitalizations over the past two months have been among unvaccinated people.

DPHHS Director Adam Meier said the data is a reminder of how important it is to get vaccinated.

About 48 percent of the eligible population in Montana is fully vaccinated.
