The Montana State University Library will host a free event, “A Night with Theodore Roosevelt IV,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Hager Auditorium at MSU’s Museum of the Rockies. A reception will follow. Roosevelt is a great-grandson of former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt and an advocate for climate protection and the U.S. National Park Service.
Roosevelt will have an on-stage conversation with history professor Mark Fiege about his life, the current state of our waters and fishing climates, and the role of national parks in these ecological and recreational environments.
Roosevelt is a retired U.S. Navy Reserve lieutenant commander and a managing director for Barclays Capital Inc. He has earned widespread respect as both a forward-thinking investment banker and an influential activist through his efforts to address climate change and preserve public lands.
Seating at the Trout Lecture is limited, and pre-registration is encouraged. Guests can register online at https://www.montana.edu/calendar/events/53983 or by calling (406) 994-3119.
Through the annual Trout Lecture, the library strives to speak to all aspects of trout and salmonids and to represent the diversity of angling culture. Thanks to contributions from generous donors, this event is free and open to the public.
