An anticipated two game men’s basketball series between Montana State University and University of Montana has been cancelled because of COVID-19.
A news release on gogriz.com says a positive COVID-19 test within UM’s program has forced the cancellation of the men’s matchups scheduled for Thursday night in Missoula and Saturday afternoon in Bozeman. The release states these games will not be rescheduled at this time.
The “Brawl of the Wild” series between the men’s teams dates back to 1902 and has been played every season since 1944-1945.
The women’s games between the Lady Griz and the Lady Cats slated for Thursday night in Bozeman and Saturday afternoon in Missoula are still scheduled.
