In a court filing Monday the Montana University System and University of Montana rejected allegations of gender discrimination and asked a U.S. District Court to toss out claims filed by one of the four female plaintiffs.
The women, including a former vice president, former dean of students, associate professor and former director of an art museum, allege the University excluded women from benefits received by male counterparts.
Eighteen more women have made similar allegations.In their suit, the women say the university and its leadership fostered a “good ol’ boys’ club.”
University attorneys are calling the claims inaccurate and are requesting a jury trial.
