Marc Silver, who edits NPR's global health blog, has been a reporter and editor for the Baltimore Jewish Times, U.S. News & World Report and National Geographic. Sam Sanders is a correspondent and host of It's Been a Minute with Sam Sanders at NPR. He signed off in his final broadcast of All Things Considered on January 5, 2018.

She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She has won five Education Writers Association awards, three Society of Professional Journalism awards and the 2005 Sidney Hillman Award. She is a native of Chicago.
