Art spaces in a couple of Montana’s largest cities are showcasing the whimsical, bird and dinosaur-themed creations of Billings artist Louis Habeck.

Last year, 2,000 people watched magical creatures illuminate the dark winter sky in Bozeman during Random Acts of Silliness' inaugural Lantern Parade. This year, even more community members are involved making lanterns for the “Menagerie of the Imaginary".

Montanans are no strangers to the sight of a wheat field, with more than 5 millions acres of wheat planted annually across the state. But one acre of wheat in Bozeman asks people to look at it with a different lens: that of a work of art.

A fairy village has opened its tiny doors to the community of Bozeman for its fifth season of encouraging imagination and celebrating local art.

Twenty-four murals have been painted since the festival was first held in 2019.
