Robertson Draw Fire and Crooked Creek Fire
Fire crews continue to patrol the containment lines on the Robertson Draw and Crooked Creek Fires burning in the Custer Gallatin National Forest in south-central Montana.
Containment holds steady at 65 percent on the 30,000-acre Robertson Draw fire just south of Red Lodge. Fire crews are patrolling the eastern and southern perimeters of the fire looking for hot spots or pockets of heat. Mop-up operations continue to secure these lines, and suppression repair efforts are ongoing.
The 4,000-acre Crooked Creek fireeast of Bridger in the Pryor Mountains continues at 72 percent containment. InciWeb says fire crews are patrolling the fire lines mopping up hot spots or pockets of heat.
The pre-evacuation warning notice for 25 homes in the Sage Creek area remains, as do the temporary flight restrictions over both the Crooked Creek and Robertson Draw Fires.
The Bureau of Land Management has lifted the closure order for all BLM lands in the Pryor Mountains within Township 8 South and Sykes Ridge Road in Carbon County.
Tonight, the Custer Gallatin National Forest will host a Facebook Live meeting at 7 pm updating information for the Robertson Draw and Crooked Creek Fires.
Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation reports Montanans have experienced 806 fires burning 76,000 acres so far in 2021.
