The Western Heritage Center (WHC) is hosting the national touring exhibit, Away from Home: American Indian Boarding School Stories from April 9 - May 24, 2024. The exhibit explores off-reservation boarding schools in a kaleidoscope of voices. The WHC is the only venue in the Northern Great Plains hosting the exhibit. The exhibit, produced by the Heard Museum of Arizona, is supported for travel by the National Endowment of the Humanities and several local sponsors. Admission is waived during the six-week exhibit. The museum, located at 2822 Montana Avenue, Billings, is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10-5.
