Going-to-the-Sun Road Reservations Available April 29
The first entry reservation tickets for Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road will be available the morning of April 29.
Congestion is now common in Glacier during peak summer months, and officials say a reservation system is needed as they anticipate one of the park’s busiest seasons ever this summer. They say a ticketed entry system offers visitors increased certainty they’ll be able to enter the park, and could also eliminate the need for closures at the park’s west entrance. The tickets will cost $2 and will be available at recreation.gov starting at 8 a.m.
Tickets are good for seven days on the Going-To-The-Sun corridor, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. The ticketed entry system will be in place from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
