Montana Governor Greg Gianforte announced his appointment of a new Department of Commerce director today.
According to a Monday news release, Gianforte is tapping real estate broker Marta Bertoglio of Clancy to fill the role.
Bertoglio is a Air Force veteran who owns a realty business with satellite offices statewide and took her seat in the state House of Representatives in 2021.
She replaces Paul Green, who resigned earlier this year. Green is now executive director with Billings-based Big Sky Economic Development serving Yellowstone County.
Gianforte in his announcement says Bertoglio will help recruit new business and jobs to the state.
