Resounds: Upcoming Film Festivals

Anna Paige

On this episode of Resounds, co-hosts Corby Skinner and Anna Paige look at three different events bringing international films to Montana. First, Melissa Moore, Communication and Administration Manager for Tippet Rise, discusses a Spring film festival at the performing arts center in Fishtail. Following that, Brian Murnion, founder of Montana International Film Festival in Billings, and Beth Ann Kennedy, Artistic/Managing Director of the Bozeman Film Celebration, come together to talk about two inaugural film events launching this year.

Tippet Rise Art Center is bringing a Spring Film Series to Fishtail, featuring films from two of the world’s great stages:  London’s National Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. Screenings of eight films take place in at the art center between May 4 and June 9.

Tippet Rise is primarily a concert venue and sculpture park, but they began to show films three years ago. This year’s partnership with these two famous stages will allow the Art Center to show theatrical production currently on stage in England. Recorded performances are broadcast via satellite from the UK and Europe in real-time.
