Resounds: Precious McKenzie

Anna Paige

Associate professor of English at Rocky Mountain College Precious McKenzie recently received a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Award. In January 2021, she will begin her research at University College Cork, Ireland, as part of a project to study Irish folktales and legends.

McKenzie is also an author of dozen of children and young adult books on a wide variety of topics from bugs and birds to rainbow s and rainforests.
 
McKenzie joined the faculty at Rocky Mountain College in fall 2011 and is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. 
 
Her most recent book Cinderyeti is a clever and charming mixed up version of Cinderella and the Abominable Snowman, illustrated by Billings artist Edward Tanzosh.

Corby Skinner is an independent marketing professional with an enormous capacity for assessing issues and creating positive, effective messages.
Anna Paige is a Montana-based journalist, poet and educator. She is originally from Wyoming and has lived in Billings for more than a decade, where she co-founded Young Poets, winner of the 2021 Library of Congress Award for Literacy.
Ken Siebert began work at YPR in 1992 as a part-time, evening board operator. He was hired full time in 1994.
